Industries Served
Here at Next Level Books, we focus on professional service bookkeeping.
This would include various construction trades, such as General Contractors, Roofers, Electricians, Plumbers, and HVAC.
We also have experience working with Architects and Engineers.
Other businesses that we work well with are those with health practices, such as Chiropractors and Naturopaths.
Sales Tax
Sure, there are fundamentals of bookkeeping that are similar across industries, but there are also specific needs of each profession.
For example, in Washington State, construction trades are subject to sales tax.
So, you will want to make sure your bookkeeper has the right systems in place to pull the information accurately from whatever system you choose.
B&O Excise Tax
Washington State also has the B&O excise tax, which is a tax based on gross revenue within the state.
Unlike sales tax, which is collected on behalf of the state and is held as a liability until paid, B&O is an expense paid out either yearly, quarterly, or monthly – depending on how the WA Department of Revenue has set your business up.
